The
7th Hole
|
Men:
183m par 3, rated 12
Ladies: 125m par 3, rated 16 |
|
At
183m, the downhill 7th hole is the longest par 3 on the course from
the mens' tee, and it is a real challenge to stop the ball
on the green.
The
job for the ladies is a little easier, coming in from 125m
from their teeing area to the right of the fairway. |
|
There
are no particular dramas to watch out for on the 7th - it
is a relatively straightforward hole, apart from the
length.
The
right is probably the best side to avoid, as the ball can
run away into a small group of trees bordering the 8th
fairway, blocking the return shot to the green. |

|

|
From
the ladies' tee, above, the angle to the pin opens up the
green, making this a reasonably easy tee shot.
Kangaroos
often take up residence on the 7th, so avoid any big
boomers you see - and you will also often find a family of
ducks has wandered up from the river! |
|
The
green is a good size, one of Collie's biggest, with plenty of grass around it if
the tee shot misses the putting surface.
Just
be careful of the slope, which runs downhill
from back left to right front. |
