The
4th Hole
|
Men:
160m par 3, rated 14
Ladies: 100m par 3, rated 18 |
|
After
the relatively difficult 2nd and 3rd holes, the 4th is a
par 3 which provides a welcome breather, and at just 100m it is
rated the easiest hole on the course for the ladies. |
|
The
mens' tee, above, is elevated on two levels, with the
upper level at about the same level as the green.
However,
with the green sloping upwards from front to back, and
with a deep bunker ready to catch shots that are short and
left, it is important to take enough club. |

|

|
The
ladies'
tee, above, is to the right of the fairway, which largely,
but not always, takes the bunker out of play!
Despite
the bunker on the left, the right is the real danger area,
heavily wooded and with many shrubs and sandy patches in
the clearings. |
|
The
green is big, elevated, undulating, and with a deceptively
strong slope down from back to front.
If
the tee shot ends up behind the pin, a delicate touch is
required to avoid the putt running well past the hole in
the other direction. |
